- Thanks for the prompt reply. Hopefully it's done in 3.1 or is that too early
- hoping?
-
- Two other things concerning printing:
- 1. Is that normal that it takes more than seven (7!) minutes till the HP 5L in
- 600dpi mode begins to print a single A4 page, only containing some text and
- lines? It still seems to be somewhat long.
-
- 2. We included two IFF bitmaps into a document. One was a 1-bit (bl/wh) pic
- and the other a 8-bit grey pic. In every other (that is, lower) resolution the
- 1bit pic had black dots all over the printout in the white parts - like if you
- dither a picture, or if the white isn't fully white. The only difference was
- that the higher the resolution the smaller the dots. And with 600dpi the
- diappeared completely. But I checked the color white in a paint program. It was
- plain white (R,G,B:255,255,255). On the other hand the 8bit pic had some plain
- white parts as well, and there (on the same printout/document page) this
- failure didn't appear in lower resolutions. Any ideas?
